Quality Commitment

We believe that quality construction begins with thoughtful and thorough planning. Our process incorporates key principles from ISO9000, Lean Construction, Six Sigma, and the QA/QC process formalized by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Every iConcrete project adheres to a rigorous standards of quality and excellence that owners, developers and their architects have come to expect. This is our continued commitment to you, and to every one of our projects.

iConcrete Quality Control, or QC for short, is our process by which we review the quality of all factors involved in production with concrete. This approach places an emphasis on three aspects:

  1. Elements such as controls, concrete job management, defined and well managed processes,[1][2] performance and integrity criteria, and identification of records
  2. Competence, such as knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications
  3. Soft elements, such as personnel, integrity, confidence, organizational culture, motivation, team spirit, quality relationships and talented craftmen.

Controls include product inspection, where every product is examined visually, before the product is considered complete on the external market. Our Inspectors will be provided with lists and descriptions of unacceptable product defects such as cracks or surface blemishes for example.

The quality of the output is at risk if any of these three aspects are deficient in any way.

Quality control emphasizes testing of products to uncover defects and reporting to management who makes the decision to allow or deny completion, whereas quality assurance attempts to improve and stabilize production (and associated processes) to avoid, and minimize issues which could lead to defect(s).  For contract work, particularly work awarded by government agencies, quality control issues are what we strive to minimize daily.
